Privacy policy
Effective date: October 8, 2026
This policy explains what personal information Olaie collects through www.olaie.com and when we work with you, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. "Olaie," "we" and "us" mean Olaie LLC, a Washington real estate firm, and Olaie Corporation, a California real estate broker (DRE #02170101).
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you fill out a contact or referral form, text, email or message us, or work with us as a client, you may give us:
- Contact details: name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and WeChat, WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger details if you choose those ways to reach you.
- Property and transaction details: addresses of homes you are buying, selling or leasing, prices, offer terms, plan choices, dates, and anything you write in a message.
- Details about other people, such as a co-buyer or co-owner's name and email. Please share them only if they agree.
- Your consent to receive text messages, with the time and the wording you agreed to.
Information collected automatically. When you visit olaie.com, our hosting provider records technical details such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time. We use the IP address to limit abuse of our forms and address box, and to estimate your general area (roughly your city) so address suggestions show nearby homes first.
Analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics, provided by our website host, to understand how visitors find and use olaie.com, for example which pages are visited, which websites referred visitors, and the general type of device, browser and country. It does not use cookies and does not identify individual visitors or follow them across other websites. Before this information is recorded, we remove any address you typed from the page link. We also count when a form is sent or an address search is made, without any of the details you entered. We do not use advertising cookies.
Information from other sources. We may receive information from public records, multiple listing services (MLS), the other side of a transaction (agents, lenders, escrow and title companies, inspectors), and Google, which provides the address suggestions on our homepage.
2. How we use information
- To answer your questions and requests, and to send you a copy of what you submitted.
- To provide real estate brokerage services: searching for and pricing homes, preparing and negotiating offers and listings, marketing a listing you authorize, and coordinating closing.
- To contact you by the method you chose, including text messages if you agreed to them.
- To meet our legal and licensing obligations, including record keeping required of real estate brokers in Washington and California.
- To keep the website secure, prevent abuse and fraud, and fix problems.
- To understand how visitors use olaie.com so we can improve it.
We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.
3. Address suggestions and Google Maps
The address box on our homepage uses Google Maps Platform to suggest addresses as you type. The text you type, and your approximate area, are sent from our server to Google to get those suggestions. Google does not receive your name or contact details from us.
Address suggestions are provided by Google. By using them, you agree to be bound by the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and the Google Terms of Service. Google's use of information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
5. Text messages
If you agree to receive texts, we text you about your request and your transaction. Consent is not required to work with Olaie. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts; we also honor any other reasonable request to stop, in any language.
6. Your choices
To ask about or update the information we hold about you, email service@olaie.com. You can stop emails by replying to say so, and stop texts by replying STOP.
7. California residents
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing. To ask about the personal information we hold about you, email service@olaie.com.
Our site does not change how it collects information in response to browser "Do Not Track" signals, because there is no common standard for them; we do not track visitors across other websites.
8. Washington residents
We do not collect consumer health data as defined by Washington's My Health My Data Act.
9. How long we keep information
We keep transaction records for as long as real estate law requires: in Washington and California, generally at least three years after a transaction closes or ends. Contact requests that do not lead to a transaction are kept for two years, then deleted. Site statistics are kept for 12 months. Server logs are kept for a short period by our hosting provider.
10. Security
We protect information with encrypted connections (HTTPS), access limited to people who need it, and service providers with their own security programs. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information, we will notify you as the law requires.
11. Children
olaie.com is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Other websites
Our site links to other sites and apps, such as Zillow, Google, WeChat, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Loan Factory and DwellSoul. Their own privacy policies apply when you use them.
13. Translations
This policy may be translated into other languages for convenience. If a translation differs from the English version, or there is any conflict between them, the English version prevails.
14. Changes to this policy
We will post any changes here and update the effective date. If a change materially affects how we use information you already gave us, we will tell you before it applies.
